Flatiron Building, New York City - 2015

A city skyline. A blanket of wispy clouds. A blinding light pushing through a cluster of  buildings. It is hard and focused. It is steady. It is loud over the consistent pulsing of time. A minute passes. Time now appears to flow slower. The white light becomes softer. The raw glow vanishes behind a rooftop. It begins. The sapphire sky beings to darken. A subtle smell of ozone and musk. The clouds begin to spark with a peach hue. Soft blues turn to subtle violets. The thirsty sky drinks up the blushing oranges. Amorous reds engorge the clouds. The world stops for just a moment. The sky fills with a display of colors cascading off illuminated clouds. Buildings roar to life as light shimmers off glass and metal.

Another minutes passes. The colors begin to weaken. The sky sighs and the reds turn pink. Colors fade into the darkness. Once more, the buildings become frozen like stone.

The scene ends. We reminisce. Social media. #SunsetPorn is born.
